And I’m back!

Hello, lovely readers!

I’m very excited to announce that I am back.  And hopefully I will be able to stay that way for awhile.  I’ve been spending some time navigating the Voltage world again after being away for some time.  And wow!  There are some changes!  Like…

  • Main stories that are chopped in half so that they cost us $7.99 US (not really a fan of this change)
  • Movies for each app that open up and try to play every time I open the app (not sure if I’m a fan of this change)
  • Options for us to buy endings (definitely won’t be bothering with this feature!)
  • More stories/apps! (although, some are feeling strangely familiar to older apps)
  • The option to rewind (definitely a fan of this feature!  Especially for when I am trying to take screencaps!)

I’ve got my first review up and going; it will be published as soon as this update goes through.  Any recommendations on which stories/apps/characters I should spend my money and time on next?

Voltage’s Story Writing and Illustration Contest!

Screenshot 2014-07-08 01.58.30Just in case you weren’t aware of it: It’s that time of year again.  Voltage is currently accepting submissions for their annual Story Writing and Illustration Contest.  This year, they are accepting story submissions internationally and not just from Japan!  Submissions are accepted until September 30th, and they will be announcing winners sometime in December.  Check out their website for more info!

Good luck!

It’s been a little slow….

Hello, readers. Just wanted to apologize for the lack of updates recently. A hospitalized family member has been taking up all my free time when I’m off from school and work. Positive thoughts are appreciated.

I will be working on a post (or 2!) this weekend. Will most likely be a reader request and a Metro PD review.

Voltage’s Story Writing and Illustration Contest

ImageIf you don’t stalk occasionally visit Voltage’s facebook page and website, you may not be aware that they are currently running a contest (where you can win money! and maybe a job?).

Well, in case you don’t know, I want to make sure you do.  The illustration contest is open to everyone, whether you live in Japan or under a rock, whether you are an amateur or a professional.  The english version of the contest page does not mention anything about the story writing contest (damn!) so that may be limited to people in Japan (or people who can read the Japanese version of their contest page.  Unfortunately, I am not one of those people.)

Voltage is accepting submissions until September 30, 2013.

Click on that banner at the top of my post to link directly to their Contest Info in English!  Good Luck.
